Exit Polls.. Exit West Bengal.

*Exit polls.. Exit in WB*

West Bengal is the state with the third highest number of seats in Lok sabha behind UP with 80 seats and Maharashtra with 48 seats. The state plays a vital role in national politics.

According to ECI it is observed that 5,22,724 voters in total 42 constituencies of West Bengal have opted for NOTA. This has played a crucial role in asserting the fate of the candidates and as a result it definitely effected the political scenario of West Bengal.

The key parties in the battlefield field are AITC, BJP, Communist Party of India(Marxist) and Congress.

After a successful voting of 78% in West Bengal the results are out. It is found that in 18th Lok Sabha election TMC has won 29 seats. BJP managed to bag 12 seats which is lot less than half of which was projected in the exit polls. Along with this Congress has won one seat. Whereas CPI(M) couldn’t make any mark in 2024 LS election.

The defeat of Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury is a real shock. Chowdhury is a veteran Congress leader, his fortress is Baharampur. It is the administrative hub of Murshidabad district.
He has been MP not only once but five times. He got defeated by the debutant TMC candidate Yusuf Pathan. He recieved 4,76,913 votes.

Congress somehow managed to get 1 seat, i.e the Malda Dakshin LS seat by Isha Khan Chowdhury.

On the other hand Dilip Ghosh, former BJP President lost to Kirti Azad from TMC with more than 7 lakh votes. They were contesting from Bardhaman- Durgapur LS constituency.

While addressing the press Mamata Banerjee said that she is happy that BJP led by Narendra Modi did not got majority of votes . She also added that PM should resign as he has lost his credibility…
