Lisa Marie Presley died of cardiac arrest on Thursday night. She was the only daughter of singer Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley.
On Thursday morning, Lisa Marie complained of having stomach pains that were getting more intense.
She was found unconscious in her bedroom by the housekeeper. Soon after that, Danny Keough, her ex husband who she lives with, had administered CPR on her until the paramedics came. They gave her an epinephrine shot till her pulse was restored before rushing her to the nearest hospital.
Lisa Marie Presley’s family signed a DNR order, before her second cardiac arrest that killed her. A DNR order or do-not-resuscitate is signed after consultation with the family before an emergency ordering the health administrators not to conduct CPR on patients that have stopped breathing.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” her mother Priscilla Presley’s statement to People said. “She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”
