The Bengali Film & Television award show was organised at Nazrul Manch, Kolkata. This award ceremony by Abhijit Gupta (Redwine Entertainment and) aims to recognise the hard work of the people behind the camera as well as those whom we see on the screen. The show witnessed the presence of many eminent as well as newcomer actor and actress. Not only that, but people from production unit of Tollywood films and television industry were also present. Nearly 40-42 awards were given. The veteran actors like Paran Bandopadhyay and Biswajit Chakraborty graced the award ceremony by their presence. Award show also had a fabulous performances by singer Sohini Mukherjee.
The organising committee of the award ceremony assured always to be with the industry and will also pay tribute to the real talents of the entertainment industry.
Motivational Speaker Surya Sinha Said that in future this award show will have its presence all over world as well. He further added that for this purpose we all have to be united. He also said “I wish Bengal may come up with such a quality movies which help earn name and fame internationally.
Renowned singer Lagnajita, Sovan Ganguly and Nilayan Chatterjee popularly known as RJ Neel also received award for their contribution in music. Samit Gupta grabbed award for best cinematographer for TV serial Godhuli Alaap. Actor Rajiv Bose got the award for best actor in negative role in serial Lakkhi Kakima. Actor Aparajita Adhya for her comic role in film Belashuru. Actor Koneenica Banerjee received the award for best supporting role in film for Projapoti. Annwesha Hazra for best actor in comic role female in TV serial for Ey Poth Jodi Na Sesh Hoy. Misheeta Ray Choudhury and Srishti Majumder received the award for best child artist in TV serialfor Anurager Chhowa.
The award ceremony closed with grand entry of actor cum Prasenjit Chatterjee, a leading name in the industry who was also recipient of an award. He received award for best actor in film for Aay Khuku Aay.
